Getting Set to Set Sail!

Making the final wardrobe changes, writing the pet sitter's letter, cleaning out the fridge, all that last minute stuff!!  If there's internet access on board the Harmony of the Seas, there will be posts to follow!  If not, there'll be a slide show in your future!!

 December 13, 2022 It's a leisurely morning because our excursion doesn't meet until 12:45.  We're going to have a late breakfast and hope that it holds us until dinner tonight.  From our balcony we can almost see the dock! We get to visit Tobi and Dean in their stateroom and see how the other half lives!  They have a handicapped room and it is quite spacious! There is room for Tobi's wheelchair and her scooter! We're starving because we haven't had breakfast yet, even though Tobi has eaten (as much ass she ever does!) AND gone to the gym.  She's feeling very perky! Our room steward, Igusti from the Phillipines, is just a hoot! Tobi's bathroom is three times the size of ours! The clown car/submarine! Look how cool the bread bowls are! From the Windjammer we can really see the gorgeous water and the island with it's volcano poking up. The girls go back to the room while I go searching for a better vantage point without glass in the way.  Back at home ...

Sea Days are Fun Days!

 December 11, 2022 It's another lovely day, even if we can't see the sea very well!  Coffee is coming around seven thirty, after yoga, and all is well!  We hang out on the balcony watching the scenery, drinking our coffee and shooting the breeze with Ma and Robin.  Around ten we decide that a little breakfast snack is in order and go down to the Windjammer.  It's hard but not impossible to find a table and I notice the funny sayings hanging from the ceiling.  I like "All you need is love; but a little chocolate is nice, too!" This is our sea view!! Giggle!! The car is for scale!! We've been looking at the excursions and decide to go down to Deck 5 and see if we can get some expert guidance and leadership as to the accessibility issues.  While searching for the excursions desk Ma gets drawn into the diamond store and before you know it she has a new pair of tanzanite studs!  We continue aft and there's an announcement for the celebratory parade!...

It's all coming to an end! :(

 December 17, 2022 It's our last full day at sea and we plan to make the most of it, beginning with breakfast! There are a couple of different offerings today, a green which looks like collards and is called callaloo greens, a favorite Caribbean vegetable dish made with indigenous greens, and another called upma, a traditional south Indian breakfast dish. And there's chocolate-banana smoothies on offer! Constant maintenance on the zip line, right outside the Windjammer window. . stroll through the art walk Many of these works by Kre8 were sold at auction. Trevorn, our dance instructor After breakfast we head to the Captain's Corner, where the captain and Dan Dan, the cruise director, entertain questions from the audience.  The caption is a hoot!! He makes his entrance to AC/DC! He tells us that his salary is the third highest expense for each cruise, after fuel and food! (giggle!) There is a handout with astounding fun facts, like the Aqua Theater pool is 17.9feet deep!  ...
